frequently asked questions

everything you need to know about Our mobile iv therapy

  • How does mobile IV therapy with AQUA MD work?

Booking starts online or by phone. You’ll complete a medical history intake that is reviewed by a licensed physician as part of your clinical screening before treatment is approved. Once cleared, an AQUA MD registered nurse comes to your home, office, hotel, or other appropriate location at your scheduled time and administers your treatment—no waiting room or clinic visit required.

  • How long does an IV treatment take?

Most AQUA MD IV therapy sessions take approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the treatment, infusion rate, and your individual needs. Same-day appointments may be available depending on clinical approval and nurse availability.

  • Is mobile IV therapy safe?

Mobile IV therapy is generally well tolerated when appropriately prescribed and administered, but it isn’t right for everyone. At AQUA MD, every treatment is physician-directed. A licensed physician reviews your health history and determines whether treatment is appropriate before your appointment.

Treatments are administered by registered nurses using sterile, single-use equipment, with monitoring throughout your infusion.

  • Who can get an IV treatment?

Eligibility for IV therapy depends on your health history, medications, symptoms, and the treatment being considered. AQUA MD reviews this information before treatment to determine whether mobile IV therapy is appropriate for you.

Certain medical conditions may require treatment modifications or make a particular formulation inappropriate. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, additional clinical considerations may apply. Learn more on our  Pregnancy Support page.

  • Does getting an IV hurt?

Most people experience only a brief pinch during IV catheter placement. Our registered nurses are experienced with peripheral IV placement, and ultrasound guidance is available when appropriate to help identify suitable veins in patients with difficult IV access.

  • Can AQUA MD come to my home for IV therapy?

Yes. AQUA MD specializes in physician-directed mobile IV therapy delivered directly to your location. After medical screening and approval, a registered nurse brings the necessary supplies and administers your treatment in your home, hotel, office, or other appropriate location.

  • What areas does AQUA MD serve?

  • Do I need clearance from my doctor before mobile IV therapy?

Not always. AQUA MD provides medical screening and physician review as part of the treatment process, so most treatments do not require a separate referral. However, for certain treatments or medical circumstances—such as high-dose vitamin C infusions or pregnancy—we may request clearance or input from your treating physician or specialist before proceeding. This helps ensure your care is appropriately coordinated and that everyone involved in your health care is on the same page.

  • How do I book mobile IV therapy with AQUA MD?

You can book an appointment online or call/text AQUA MD at (360) 401-8161. New patients complete a medical intake and physician review before treatment is approved. Once cleared, a registered nurse or the medical director may come to your location to administer your treatment.
